Jo Jung-seok Shares Adorable Response to Wife Gummy's Comments

In a recent interview held at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Jo Jung-seok (조정석), the star of the upcoming film 'Zombie Daughter' (좀비딸), offered a charming explanation regarding comments made by his wife, singer Gummy (거미).

'Zombie Daughter', directed by Pil Kam-seong (필감성) and produced by Studio N, is a comedic drama that follows a devoted father, Jung-hwan (정환), played by Jo, who undergoes secret training to protect his daughter Sua (수아), the last zombie in the world. The film is based on a popular webtoon and features a talented production team known for hits like 'Train to Busan' (부산행) and 'Squid Game' (오징어 게임).

Jo portrays a father with a strong paternal instinct, a role that resonates with him as he is a father to a six-year-old daughter. He married Gummy in October 2018, and they welcomed their daughter in August 2020.

Describing his daughter, Jo humorously remarked, "Just imagine my face with longer hair!" He expressed that when she gets in trouble with her mother, he feels the urge to hide because she resembles him so much. He added, "She often doesn't listen, is stubborn, and throws tantrums. But she has this quirky charm that I love."

Recently, Gummy referred to Jo on her YouTube channel 'Cheonggye Mountain Dangi Records' as someone who "does whatever he wants." Jo playfully denied this characterization, saying, "That's not true!" Gummy had also shared that if she could live as anyone else for a day, she would choose to be her husband, citing his carefree lifestyle as the reason, which resonated with many wives across the country.

Jo shared insights about his personality, revealing that he identifies as an ISTP in the MBTI personality test. He joked about a trait that states, "If I can't lie down and relax, it's a big problem for me." He explained that he tends to do what he wants, which sometimes leads to him getting scolded by Gummy.

Despite his playful demeanor, Jo emphasized that he knows when to exercise restraint, admitting that he sometimes playfully rebels against Gummy's comments about him.

'Zombie Daughter' is set to hit theaters on July 30, 2025.
