Jo Hyun-cheol Reflects on Winning Best New Director at the Blue Dragon Film Awards

Actor Jo Hyun-cheol shared his thoughts on winning the Best New Director award at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards during the production briefing for 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances' held on December 6 at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. He mentioned, 'I wrote the script for 'You and I' in Bogotá, and I feel like I received some good energy from there.'
Jo Hyun-cheol recently received the prestigious award for his film 'You and I.' He elaborated, 'I wrote the script for 'You and I' while in Bogotá, and it seems that the positive vibes from the city influenced me.'
Co-star Lee Hee-joon added humorously, 'After filming, while the other actors would go out for drinks, Jo Hyun-cheol would stay in his room writing.' Song Joong-ki chimed in, 'By the way, 'You and I' is still showing in theaters,' which brought laughter to the event.
'Bogotá,' set to release on December 31, tells the story of Guk-hee (played by Song Joong-ki), who travels to Bogotá, Colombia, filled with hope after the IMF crisis. He becomes entangled with influential figures in the Korean community, including Su-young (Lee Hee-joon) and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae-hyo). The film is directed by Kim Sung-jae, known for 'Minority Opinion.' Jo Hyun-cheol plays Jae-woong, a school junior of Su-young who comes to Colombia as an exchange student.
