Jo Hyun Ah Shares Success of 'Julge' on Radio Star

On the December 25 episode of MBC's entertainment program Radio Star (라디오스타), singer Jo Hyun Ah (조현아) discussed the impact of her song 'Julge' (줄게). She recounted how, during her previous appearance on the show, fellow guest Yoo Se Yoon (유세윤) humorously suggested that the lyrics sounded like a message from a mother. After releasing the album, she found herself at the center of mockery. Reflecting on the year, Jo Hyun Ah noted that her new song became a topic of ridicule and controversy. She remarked, 'It's strange for someone to suddenly appear out of nowhere. That's why I received a lot of attention and even surpassed NewJeans in views, reaching second place.'

Jo Hyun Ah expressed confidence in the success of 'Julge,' revealing that she had received the song back in 2017 and had meticulously planned everything from her hairstyle to her outfit and choreography. As the head of her company and the investor, she had the freedom to make creative decisions. She was pleasantly surprised by the song's performance, stating, 'Thanks to this, people started revisiting old videos of Urban Zakapa (어반자카파). I also got to shoot commercials, and the financial settlements have been made. Although I haven't received the music revenue yet, my performance earnings have increased about sixfold compared to usual.'
