Jisoo from Tahiti Opens Up About Losing Second Child Due to Blighted Ovum

Jisoo, a former member of the girl group Tahiti, has revealed that she experienced a miscarriage of her second child just a year after giving birth to her first. On January 29, she shared her emotional journey on social media, stating, "January felt incredibly long for me. I never considered having just one child; I wanted to raise them together. Although it was challenging, the thought of my child was so beautiful that I planned for them to be close in age, and everything seemed to be going according to plan. I was so happy that I prematurely announced my pregnancy on Instagram, which led to many articles being published."
Jisoo continued, "I had already confirmed the pregnancy and received a doctor's note stating that everything looked great. I let my guard down too soon. However, after experiencing some bleeding, I rushed to the hospital, filled with various thoughts. I kept telling myself not to be too disappointed if something went wrong, but I prayed that everything would be okay."
She described the shock of hearing the term 'blighted ovum' for the first time, as the doctor suggested waiting another week for further evaluation. "After hearing that, each day felt like an eternity until my next appointment. I wondered if I had failed to protect this child. Would there be complications if it was developing so slowly? I felt guilty and sometimes very sorry for myself."
Ultimately, Jisoo underwent surgery without seeing the placenta or the baby. She expressed hope for the future, saying, "I believe another beautiful baby angel will come to me someday. Until then, I will focus on exercising and eating healthy to prepare my body and mind."
In her heartfelt message, she added, "When that time comes, I will have a strong home ready for you, and I hope you come home quickly with a full lunchbox! I will be waiting for you!"
Jisoo debuted with Tahiti in 2012 and left the group in 2017. She is currently a Pilates instructor. After marrying a non-celebrity in October 2021, she announced her first pregnancy in 2023 and welcomed her first son in January 2024. She had recently shared her excitement about expecting her second child on January 15, 2025, before the unfortunate news of her miscarriage.
