Jisoo from Girl Group Tahiti Shares Heartbreaking News of Miscarriage

Jisoo (31, 신지수), a former member of the girl group Tahiti, has shared the sad news of her miscarriage. On January 15, she had announced her second pregnancy. On January 30, she took to social media to express her feelings, stating, "Mid-January felt incredibly long for me. I never considered having just one child, so I wanted to raise them together. It was tough, but my child was so precious that I planned for them to be close in age, and everything seemed to be going according to plan."
Reflecting on her earlier announcement, she said, "I was so happy that I shared my pregnancy news a bit early on Instagram, and many articles followed."
Jisoo recounted, "I had already confirmed the pregnancy and received a doctor's note stating that 'everything looks great in terms of location and size,' so I think I let my guard down too soon."
She recalled the anxiety she felt during her first visit to the obstetrician, saying, "I was filled with various thoughts on the way there. I kept telling myself, 'Even if something is wrong, don’t be too disappointed,' while also hoping that everything would be fine."
However, upon visiting the hospital, she learned that the bleeding was not a major issue. She was introduced to the term 'blighted ovum' for the first time. The doctor advised her to wait another week for confirmation, making the days feel incredibly long until her next appointment.
Jisoo expressed her worries, saying, "Did I fail to protect this child? If it grows so slowly, will there be issues later? As a mother, I should be the one to protect it, but I found myself thinking negatively. I felt guilty and sometimes very sorry."
She continued, "In the end, I had to undergo surgery without seeing the placenta or the baby, but I believe a beautiful angel will come to me in the future. Until then, I will work hard on my fitness and eat healthily to prepare my body and mind. When that time comes, I will build a strong home for my baby and wait eagerly for them to join me."
Jisoo concluded her message by thanking everyone who congratulated her, saying, "I truly appreciate those who celebrated with me. I will hold onto those congratulations for a while and receive them again later."
Jisoo debuted in 2012 with the group Tahiti, known for songs like 'Tonight,' 'Skip,' and 'Alssongdalsong.' After leaving the group in 2017, she became a Pilates instructor. She married a non-celebrity man in 2021 and welcomed a son in January of last year.
