Jin Tae-hyun Celebrates YouTube Milestone Amid Thyroid Cancer Battle

Actor Jin Tae-hyun, who is currently battling thyroid cancer, recently shared a significant update on his YouTube channel. On May 30, he posted on his personal social media that the channel he runs with his wife, Park Si-eun, '작은 테레비' (Little TV), has surpassed 100,000 subscribers, reaching a total of 100,057. He expressed his gratitude with a simple caption, '100,000 YouTuber,' celebrating the achievement with well-wishes from his followers.

While staying in New York, Jin also shared a heartfelt photo of Park Si-eun cooking in their accommodation's kitchen. He noted, 'My wife struggles with the time difference but wakes up early at 10 PM Korean time to prepare breakfast. Even here, she continues to cook for me. Despite her fatigue, she always thinks of me first. This is how she fills my life with love.'

Jin reflected on the nature of love, stating, 'Love is not complicated. When you think of others before yourself and are willing to hide your own needs, love flourishes without hindrance. In marriage, a little selflessness goes a long way. Our pride and self-esteem can be directed elsewhere. Don't hold back on expressing affection and gratitude. Say 'thank you' and 'I love you' every day. The joy of saying it will also bring happiness to yourself.' He emphasized, 'Let’s not be people who treat others well but neglect our own. My wife is the most precious thing I have.'

He concluded with a poignant note about his health, saying, 'Though I am a bit unwell, it’s not a serious illness. I try to live each day as if it could be my last. I have learned to appreciate life through my illness. I have always been grateful, but every day with my wife feels like a miracle and is incomparable in its value.'

Jin Tae-hyun married fellow actor Park Si-eun in 2015. The couple adopted a daughter, Park Da-bi, and faced the heartbreaking loss of their second child shortly before birth. They are also known to be supporting two other daughters as part of their family. Currently, Jin is preparing for surgery after being diagnosed with early-stage thyroid cancer.
