Jin Kicks Off Solo Concert Tour '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR' in Goyang

BTS (방탄소년단) member Jin (진) launched his solo fan concert tour '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in GOYANG' on June 28-29 at the Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang. Over the course of nearly two hours, he performed 18 songs, showcasing his strong musicality and presence as a solo artist.
The concert opened with a unique twist as Jin walked out from between the central screens to press a buzzer, signaling the start of the show. He then performed the title track 'Running Wild' and the song 'I'll Be There' from his solo album 'Happy', accompanied by a live band. The event featured spectacular special effects, including relay air shots, fireworks, and water cannons, creating a festival-like atmosphere.
Following the energetic start, Jin shifted the mood with emotional tracks from his mini-album 'Echo', including 'Don't Say You Love Me', 'Background', and 'Another Level'. Notably, he played the piano for 'Grieum-e' and 'Abyss', earning enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The concert highlighted the perfect synergy between Jin and his fans, known as ARMY. Jin engaged the audience in a telepathy game called '통해라 아미', where he wore an outfit chosen by fans while performing 'Super Tuna'. Interactive segments like '불러라 아미', where fans guessed song titles from their a cappella singing, added to the lively atmosphere.
Special guests who featured on Jin's solo album also joined him on stage. On the first day, solo artist YENA (최예나) heated up the crowd with 'Loser (feat. YENA)', while on the second day, Wendy from Red Velvet (레드벨벳) showcased 'Heart on the Window (with Wendy)', delivering beautiful harmonies.
As a medley of BTS songs filled the venue, the excitement peaked with fans singing along to hits like 'Dynamite', 'Butter', '소우주 (Mikrokosmos)', and '봄날'. Throughout the two days, other BTS members also visited the concert, demonstrating their warm camaraderie.
Jin expressed his heartfelt gratitude, stating, "This was a challenge I could succeed in because of ARMY. I hope you will continue to support all my future endeavors. I had so much fun and happiness today. The 'Run, Seokjin' tour will continue until the day I meet all ARMY. Thank you sincerely for being here."
This concert was designed as a spin-off of Jin's own content '달려라 석진', with elements from various episodes and stage direction seamlessly integrated. The VCRs were inspired by episodes like 'A Journey with Clouds' (Episode 1, Hallasan) and 'Rope It' (Episode 33, Action Star Challenge). The stage design, featuring a rock band setup with stands and wire structures, reflected Jin's musical preferences.
The '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR' will continue with a total of 18 performances across nine cities, starting from Goyang and moving to Chiba and Osaka in Japan, as well as Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark in the USA, London in the UK, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
