Jimin Wins Top Award at 2024 MAMA; RM, V, and Jungkook Also Recognized

Jimin (지민) of BTS (방탄소년단) added another prestigious award to his collection at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' held on November 22 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. He received the 'VISA FANS' CHOICE OF THE YEAR' award, showcasing his immense popularity on a global scale by winning one of the four major awards at the event.
This achievement marks Jimin's second consecutive year of winning at MAMA, following his victory last year when he took home the 'BEST MALE ARTIST' award. In 2023, BTS also won several accolades, including 'WORLDWIDE ARTIST OF THE YEAR,' 'BEST OST,' and 'WORLDWIDE ICON OF THE YEAR.'
At this year's MAMA, the 'FANS' CHOICE MALE TOP 10' category saw Jimin alongside fellow BTS members RM (알엠), V (뷔), and Jungkook (정국), further highlighting their dominance in the industry.
Jimin's solo album 'MUSE,' released in July, achieved remarkable success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The title track 'Who' debuted impressively at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying Jimin's status as a leading solo artist. He has maintained a presence on both major Billboard charts for 17 consecutive weeks.
Additionally, Jimin set new records on Spotify, with 'Who' becoming the fastest song by a Korean artist to reach 1 billion streams as of the chart dated November 13. It is the only K-pop song released in 2024 to surpass this milestone.
