Jimin Sets New Billboard Record with 'MUSE'
Jimin, a member of the globally renowned group BTS (방탄소년단), has achieved a remarkable milestone on the American Billboard charts. According to the latest Billboard update released on January 22, 2025, Jimin's second solo album, MUSE, has secured its place on the Billboard 200 chart for an impressive 26 weeks, setting a new record for the longest-charting album by a K-pop solo artist.
Despite being released in July 2024, MUSE continues to perform well, ranking third on the World Albums chart. The album's title track, 'Who,' has also made waves, landing at 41 on the Hot 100 chart. Additionally, 'Who' has reached 21 on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart and 29 on the Streaming Songs chart, while making a comeback at 23 on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Meanwhile, V's (뷔) winter-themed single 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' is also making an impact, having debuted in November 2024 and currently sitting at 109 on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart and 185 on the Global 200 chart.
Other BTS members are also enjoying success with their solo projects. Jin's (진) solo album 'Happy' is positioned at 16 on the World Albums chart and 50 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, with its title track 'Running Wild' charting at 132 on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart. Jungkook's (정국) solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' has been a consistent performer, charting for 79 weeks on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart at 74 and 78 weeks on the Global 200 chart at 115.
BTS's collective discography remains popular, with their anthology album 'Proof' holding strong at 6 on the World Albums chart for an impressive 136 weeks.
