Jimin of BTS Achieves Gold Certification in Japan with 'Who'

On March 28, 2025, it was announced by the Japan Record Association that Jimin's title track 'Who' from his second solo album 'MUSE' has surpassed 50 million streams as of February, earning him a 'Gold' certification in the streaming category. This marks Jimin's first 'Gold' certification for a solo track. Previously, he received 'Gold' certifications for the unit song 'Dimple' from the group's repackaged album 'LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer'' and for 'Friends,' a collaboration with V (뷔) from their fourth studio album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7.' Released in July 2024, 'Who' made history by charting on the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of 33 weeks, the longest for a K-pop artist. The album 'MUSE' also made its mark by staying on the Billboard 200 for 34 weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting album by a Korean solo artist. The Japan Record Association issues monthly certifications based on cumulative streaming numbers, categorizing them as Gold (over 50 million), Platinum (over 100 million), and Diamond (over 500 million).
