Jimin (지민) of BTS (방탄소년단) is making a significant impact on the UK Official Charts. His title track 'Who' from his second solo album 'MUSE' debuted at number 37 on the UK Official Singles Chart on February 21, marking its 25th week on the chart. Released in July of last year, the song also continues to showcase Jimin's popularity, entering the 'Audio Streaming' chart at 48 and the 'Single Streaming' chart at 53, both for the 30th week.

On Spotify, the strength of BTS is evident as Jimin's 'Who', Jin's (진) solo album title track 'Running Wild', and Jungkook's (정국) first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' all climbed the ranks in the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart for the period of February 14-20. They landed at 14th, 92nd, and 96th places, respectively. Additionally, the duet 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' by V (뷔) and Park Hyo Shin is holding strong at 130th.

In the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart, both group and solo albums saw a rise in rankings. BTS's anthology album 'Proof', released in June 2022, and the repackaged album 'LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer'', released in 2018, climbed three and five spots to 48th and 181st, respectively. Jimin's 'MUSE' maintained a strong position at 23rd, while Jungkook's first solo album 'GOLDEN' rose one spot to 56th, and Jin's 'Happy - :') (Remixes)' jumped an impressive ten spots to 152nd.

Singer-songwriter 이소라 is set to return to the stage with her solo concert after a hiatus of one year and three months. According to NHN Link, the ticketing platform, her seventh spring concert titled ‘봄 밤 핌’ (Spring Night Bloom) will take place from March 27 to 30 at the LG Arts Center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

This concert marks her first performance since ‘소라에게’ (To Sora) at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in December 2023. The event promises to showcase her poetic stage presence and crystal-clear sound, offering a tribute to her uncompromising approach to music.

It has been nine years since 이소라 held a spring concert, the last being in a small theater in 2016. The title ‘봄 밤 핌’ translates to ‘Everything that Blooms on a Spring Night.’

A representative from NHN Link stated, “이소라 plans to sing about the sweet yet poignant, warm yet melancholic essence of spring nights in her unique style. This concert is a refreshing piece of news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting a chance to see her live, as such opportunities are rare.”

이소라 debuted in 1993 as a member of the vocal group ‘낯선 사람들’ (Strangers) with their first album. She transitioned to a solo career in 1995, releasing numerous hits including ‘난 행복해’ (I’m Happy), ‘청혼’ (Proposal), ‘그대안의 블루’ (Blue in You), and ‘기억해 줘’ (Remember Me). Her collaboration with BTS (방탄소년단) member Suga on the track ‘신청곡’ (Requested Song) topped major music charts both domestically and internationally. According to the promotional schedule, the album trailer will be released on February 21, followed by a physical album preview on February 23, a tracklist reveal on February 24, and a spoiler for the title track on February 25. Concept photos that provide a glimpse into the 'BTODAY' theme will be shared over four days, building anticipation for their comeback.

Additionally, a highlight medley featuring all tracks from 'BTODAY' will be available on February 28, five days before the album's release. On March 4, a teaser for the music video of the title track will be unveiled, further heightening the excitement among global fans eagerly awaiting BTOB's new album.

Last year, the members engaged with their international fanbase through the 'BECOMING PROJECT' (비커밍 프로젝트), releasing three new songs: 'Flame' (불씨) in October, 'Be Alright' (비올라잇) in November, and 'Could It Be Better?' (이보다 더 좋을 수 있을까) in December, which warmed hearts during the year-end season. This year, they plan to consolidate these releases into a final album, completing the 'BECOMING PROJECT'.

The upcoming EP 'BTODAY' is expected to reflect on the stories BTOB has shared through their diverse music while signaling their readiness to take the next step in their artistic journey.

Gu Jun-yeop has decided to suspend all of his activities indefinitely after the passing of his beloved wife, Seo Hee-won. According to Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday, Gu has canceled his scheduled flash mob event in Taiwan for February and a beauty clinic opening in March. Additionally, all upcoming engagements, including DJ performances, press conferences, and fan meetings, have been put on hold. The timeline for Gu's return to work remains uncertain, as all future schedules will be determined once he stabilizes both physically and mentally. A representative stated, 'We suggested that Gu Jun-yeop take a break from public interactions to cope with his grief.' Local reports indicate that Gu has appeared gaunt and has completely halted his work since his wife's death.

Seo Hee-won divorced Chinese businessman Wang Xiao-fei in November 2021 after ten years of marriage and remarried Gu Jun-yeop in March 2022. Tragically, she passed away on February 2 due to pneumonia caused by the flu while traveling in Japan with her family.

In the video, she mentioned, "When I eat an apple in the morning, my blood sugar rises. My family has a history of diabetes, and after eating apples for a while, I noticed my levels were elevated. Since then, I’ve stopped eating apples in the morning." 

Following this, reports surfaced suggesting that she was suffering from diabetes, prompting her to clarify the misunderstanding. On the morning of February 22, 2025, families of the victims of the tragic fire at the Banyan Tree Resort in Busan gathered to hold a press conference, calling for a thorough investigation and accountability for those responsible. The event was organized by the bereaved families in collaboration with the Busan Movement for a World Without Serious Accidents.

During the press conference, a representative of the families criticized a joint briefing held by the Busan city government on February 20, describing it as a mere attempt to deflect responsibility without addressing the concerns of the victims' families. He stated, "We can no longer tolerate the deceitful actions and indifference of the Busan city government and responsible agencies towards the bereaved families."

The representative further expressed outrage at the city’s comments during the briefing, where officials suggested that a memorial space would only be established if there were ten or more fatalities or thirty or more injuries, which he deemed disrespectful.

The families are demanding a comprehensive investigation into the incident, punishment for those responsible for the serious accident, preventive measures from the city and the construction companies involved, an official apology from the companies, the establishment of memorials, and adequate compensation and support for the bereaved families.

After the press conference, the families were allowed to enter the resort for the first time since the fire, which occurred nine days earlier. Previously, police had restricted their access to preserve the scene. Some family members were seen weeping as they embraced photographs of their loved ones at the site.

In a statement released nine days after the fire, the construction companies involved, Samjeong Corporation and Samjeong E&C, expressed their condolences, stating, "We sincerely apologize to the deceased, their families, and the injured. We also extend our heartfelt apologies to the public for the distress caused."

They added that their employees had visited the mourning sites to offer support and that the delay in their official apology was regrettable due to the ongoing investigation and recovery efforts.
