Ji-hoon and Yu-mi Realize Their True Feelings in 'Love is a One-Lane Bridge'

In the latest episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Love is a One-Lane Bridge' (사랑은 외나무다리에서), aired on December 14, 2024, Seok-jiwon (주지훈) confesses to Yoon-jiwon (정유미) that he wants to end their bet relationship and start a real romance. Seok-jiwon, inspired by the blooming flowers on a tree, proposes they date. However, Yoon-jiwon is reluctant to continue their bet relationship and pushes him away, stating, 'What if I say I absolutely can't do it? We're not eighteen anymore.' Seok-jiwon suggests a compromise: 'If the lilacs last for two weeks, we can break up when the flowers wilt.' Yoon-jiwon agrees to keep their relationship a secret and playfully winks at him, igniting excitement in Seok-jiwon.

As they embark on their secret romance, the couple enjoys dates filled with flirtation, but they face a close call when school staff nearly catch them. After narrowly escaping, they find a quiet spot to continue their evening. Seok-jiwon asks, 'Have you ever missed me?' to which Yoon-jiwon replies, 'Yes, I wanted to hit you hard on the back of your head.' She reflects on their strange relationship, saying, 'It's funny that we know half of each other's lives but not the other half.' As they grow closer, Yoon-jiwon leans on Seok-jiwon's shoulder while intoxicated, prompting him to reminisce about past moments.

However, trouble arises when Cha Ji-hye (김예원), who has feelings for Seok-jiwon, subtly shares information about him with his father, Seok Kyung-tae (이병준). When Seok Kyung-tae confronts Seok-jiwon about rumors, Yoon-jiwon witnesses the confrontation. Despite this, Yoon-jiwon cannot hide her feelings for Seok-jiwon and eventually confesses to Cha Ji-hye that she still likes him.

Meanwhile, Seok-jiwon discovers that Cha Ji-hye took Yoon-jiwon's phone. When he confronts her, she deflects blame, saying, 'It was because of you. I like you, and you know it. So, instead of getting mad at me, talk to me about you and me, not Yoon-jiwon. You're the one hurting her.' Reflecting on his relationships with his father, Cha Ji-hye, and Yoon-jiwon, Seok-jiwon rushes to the lilac flowers and earnestly asks Yoon-jiwon, 'Forget the bet and let’s date for real.'
