Ji Yoon-mi Takes Legal Action Against Online Trolls

Ji Yoon-mi (지윤미) has initiated legal proceedings against online trolls who have been spreading harmful rumors about her. On July 24, she shared a detailed update regarding her legal actions, stating that she has filed two complaints against an individual, which have been forwarded to the prosecution with recommendations for charges. According to a message from the police, the investigation by the Seoul Seodaemun Police Station has concluded, and the case has been sent to the prosecution for violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation, causing anxiety), threats, insults, and stalking laws.
Ji expressed her determination to take a stand, saying, "I have been subjected to baseless rumors like 'I heard she has a sponsor' and 'she comes from a bar background.' I tried to convince myself to ignore these comments, but as a mother of two and a wife, I can no longer tolerate this."
She further emphasized that the individual in question has not only spread false information but has also made direct threats against her family, including comments wishing for her death. Ji has collected substantial evidence to support her claims and is committed to not letting malicious behavior go unpunished.
Ji Yoon-mi first gained recognition in 2013 through the show 'Ulzzang Generation 7' (얼짱시대7) and made her acting debut in 2015 with 'School 2015' (학교 2015). She has since appeared in various dramas, including 'Second Twenty' (두번째 스무살), 'Bubblegum' (풍선껌), 'Come Back Mister' (돌아와요 아저씨), and 'Love in Trouble' (호구의 연애). She is married to a non-celebrity and has a daughter.
