J-Hope to Spread Hope at Charity Event in Paris

J-Hope of BTS (방탄소년단) is set to bring a message of hope to Paris, France. On January 23 (local time), he will perform at the 'Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes' at La Défense Arena. This announcement was made by FranceTV on their official social media on January 17.

The event is organized by the 'Opération pièces jaunes' charity, which is chaired by French First Lady Brigitte Macron. It aims to raise funds to support hospitalized children and teenagers through a talent donation performance. J-Hope will be the first male solo artist from Korea to participate in this event, joining other top artists like G-Dragon (지드래곤), Taeyang (태양), Katy Perry, John Legend, and Rosé of BLACKPINK. For those unable to attend, the event will be broadcasted on France 2 on January 28.

Tickets for the event sold out within just 10 minutes of going on sale on January 13, highlighting the active participation of ARMY (the fandom of BTS) in the charity's fundraising efforts. Fans expressed their support, stating, "J-Hope has chosen to use his influence to participate in this meaningful performance. We will continue the beautiful hope and solidarity he has initiated."

International media quickly reported on J-Hope's participation, with Paris Match noting that his appearance is particularly special as BTS has never performed on French television before.

This will mark J-Hope's return to the local stage after approximately 5 years and 7 months since the BTS World Tour 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' in June 2019. His appearance at Paris Fashion Week in January 2023 drew massive crowds, indicating that this charity concert will also attract significant attention.

Additionally, J-Hope will kick off his first solo world tour, 'j-hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' in SEOUL', from February 28 to March 2 at the KSPO DOME in Songpa, Seoul. The tour will cover 15 cities, including Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and Osaka, with a total of 31 performances. Notably, he will be the first Korean solo artist to perform at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on April 4 and 6. The fan club pre-sale for the Seoul concert sold out instantly on January 14.
