J-Hope of BTS Makes Billboard Hot 100 History with 'Sweet Dreams'

J-Hope (제이홉) of BTS (방탄소년단) has made a significant mark on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his latest solo single, 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)', which debuted at number 66 on the chart dated March 22, 2025. This achievement marks J-Hope's sixth entry as a solo artist on the main song chart.

In addition to this, J-Hope topped the 'Digital Song Sales' chart, setting a new personal best. 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' also performed well on the global stage, landing at number 12 on the 'Global (Excluding U.S.)' chart and number 16 on the 'Global 200'.

J-Hope's journey on the Hot 100 began in 2019 with 'Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)', which peaked at number 81. He continued to make waves with tracks from his first solo album, 'Jack In The Box', including the double title tracks 'MORE' (82) and 'Arson' (96), as well as the 2023 single 'on the street (with J. Cole)', which reached number 60. Notably, he has now placed two songs on the Hot 100 this year alone, following the February release of 'LV Bag (feat. j-hope of BTS & Pharrell Williams)', which reached number 83.

The solo projects of BTS members have been well-received on the Billboard charts. Jimin's (지민) second solo album, 'MUSE', features the title track 'Who', which peaked at number 29 on the Hot 100, achieving a record 33 weeks on the chart, the longest for a K-pop artist. 'Who' also re-entered the 'Digital Song Sales' chart at number 14 and maintained positions on the 'Global 200' (25) and 'Global (Excluding U.S.)' (30).

Meanwhile, Jungkook's (정국) first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' has remained on the 'Global (Excluding U.S.)' (74) and 'Global 200' (126) charts for 87 and 86 weeks, respectively. Jin's (진) solo album 'Happy', released last November, continues to perform well, currently at number 25 on the 'World Albums' chart for 17 weeks. The group's anthology album 'Proof' is also thriving, ranking at number 6 and accumulating a total of 144 weeks on the chart.

J-Hope is set to release his new song 'MONA LISA' on March 21 at 1 PM KST. This track, which he contributed to, is a hip-hop R&B piece that playfully draws parallels between an attractive subject and the iconic artwork 'Mona Lisa', offering a different charm compared to the dreamy vibe of 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)'.
