Jeon Yeo-bin Reflects on Filming 'Harbin' in Mongolia for Five Months

Actress Jeon Yeo-bin shared her experiences from the five-month filming of 'Harbin' in Mongolia during a production briefing held on November 27 at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. She expressed, "Since our first filming location was not in Seoul but in Mongolia, I felt a strong sense of camaraderie among the cast."
Set to be released on December 25, 'Harbin' is a gripping tale of pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a common goal and those chasing them, directed by Woo Min-ho, known for works like 'The Drug King' and 'The Man Standing Next'.
In the film, Jeon Yeo-bin portrays an independent soldier with grace and determination, active in Vladivostok. Reflecting on the challenging conditions of the shoot, she noted, "We filmed for a considerable amount of time, and the roads were not easy, which made it a tough experience for everyone. However, there was a strange feeling I encountered in the desert. I felt a sense of solitude and loneliness on the vast land that stretched endlessly like a sea horizon, leading to moments of introspection and contemplation about existence."
Jeon Yeo-bin also discussed how the unique filming environment fueled her passion for the role, stating, "If our first filming location had been Seoul, I wonder if we would have felt such a strong bond and solidarity. Traveling through these spaces reminded me of the hearts of the independence fighters who once traversed the plains of Manchuria. Compared to their hardships, what we went through felt like nothing."
