Jeon So-min Reveals Surprising Update After Leaving Running Man

Jeon So-min has made headlines after revealing her unexpected situation a year after departing from Running Man (런닝맨) after 6 years and 6 months. During a recent appearance on broadcaster Ji Suk-jin's YouTube show, 'Ji's Easy World' (지편한세상), she shared that she had been working part-time at a café.
On December 13, Ji Suk-jin warmly greeted Jeon So-min and fellow guest Choi Daniel, affectionately calling her 'Jeon So-bal' and embracing her. Jeon expressed her desire for her departure from Running Man to be referred to as a 'graduation' rather than just leaving the show, highlighting her strong connection to it.
Ji Suk-jin admitted he had concerns about her leaving, saying, 'I genuinely worried about you. When you left, it broke our hearts.' Jeon So-min agreed, likening the situation to parents worrying about their daughter moving out.
She humorously noted that her standards for laughter have increased since leaving the show, stating, 'No matter how funny something is, I find it hard to laugh easily.' After her departure, she focused on her acting career, mentioning that she quickly resumed filming for a movie and two short dramas, including Today, I’m Sorry (오늘도 지송합니다).
Jeon So-min also shared her anxieties about the uncertain future in the entertainment industry, revealing that she had moved houses around the same time she left Running Man. To cope with the industry's difficulties, she took a part-time job at a café owned by an acquaintance.
She worked at a café located in the Channel A building, where many industry professionals frequented. Jeon noted that the café's policy required employees to forgo hats and masks to boost sales, although she received the same hourly wage and was provided meals.
Reflecting on her experience, she said, 'It was fun. It felt like I was recharging my energy from the days when I dreamed of being an actress.' Jeon So-min left Running Man in November 2022, after joining the show in 2017, where she showcased her versatility and chemistry with the cast, making her departure a significant loss for fans. Since then, she has continued her acting career, appearing in the MBN drama 'Gwaeri and Cynicism' (괴리와 냉소) and the currently airing KBS Joy show 'Today, I’m Sorry.'
