Jeon So-min Opens Up About Life After Leaving Running Man

In a recent episode of the YouTube show 'Ji Pyeonhan Sesang,' hosted by Ji Seok-jin, actress Jeon So-min shared her experiences after leaving the popular variety show Running Man (런닝맨). Jeon, who was a fixed member of the show for seven years, expressed her feelings about the transition, stating, "I prefer to call it 'graduation' rather than leaving."
Ji Seok-jin, who affectionately referred to her as 'Jeon So-bal,' reminisced about their time together and admitted he was genuinely worried when she departed. Jeon likened their bond to that of parents concerned about their child's independence, highlighting the familial atmosphere among the Running Man cast.
Despite her successful career, Jeon revealed that the entertainment industry has been challenging, leading her to take a part-time job at a café after her departure. She explained, "I was worried about how to survive in such a tough industry. I even moved during that time, and after graduating from Running Man, I thought, 'How am I going to make it in this difficult industry?' So, I worked part-time at a café owned by an acquaintance."
The café was located in the Channel A building, where many industry professionals frequented. Jeon noted that the café had a unique policy of not allowing employees to wear hats or masks to boost sales, although she received the same hourly wage and was provided meals.
Despite the challenges, Jeon found joy in her part-time work, stating, "It was fun and felt like I was recharging my energy from when I dreamed of being an actress." Her candid reflections on the industry's struggles resonated with many, as several actors have voiced similar concerns about the current state of the entertainment world.
