Jeon So-min Becomes a Single Mom Overnight in 'Oh! Jisong'

Jeon So-min has unexpectedly stepped into the role of a single mother. On December 5, KBS Joy premiered its new drama '오늘도 지송합니다' (Oh! Jisong), which follows the tumultuous life of Ji-song (played by Jeon So-min), a woman who finds herself suddenly single after a broken engagement. Struggling to pay off the mortgage on her newlywed home, she juggles multiple jobs and responsibilities.

In the first episode, Ji-song returns to Korea from the U.S. and reunites with her sister Eun-kyu (played by Joo Ah-reum), who is a single mom to her son, Jay. Eun-kyu, who has never been married, conceived Jay through a sperm bank. When Eun-kyu heads to work, Ji-song takes on the task of dropping Jay off at kindergarten, where rumors about Jay being from New York start to circulate, linking Ji-song to his Wall Street-working mother.

While delivering food, Ji-song unexpectedly encounters her former close friend, Choi Ha-na (played by Gong Min-jeong), leading to an awkward moment. That night, Eun-kyu offers to help Ji-song with living expenses and mortgage payments in exchange for her looking after Jay, marking the beginning of Ji-song's new 'parenting life.'

Later, when Ji-song meets Ha-na again at the kindergarten, Jay calls her 'Mom,' leaving Ji-song with no chance to clarify her role as 'aunt.' Consequently, she becomes known as 'Jay's mom' among the other parents. When Jay questions her about the lie, Ji-song promises to forget what was said and vows never to lie again.
