Jeon Ji-hyun and Director Yeon Sang-ho Team Up for 'Gunchae'

The highly anticipated collaboration between actress Jeon Ji-hyun and director Yeon Sang-ho has been confirmed for the upcoming film 'Gunchae'. The movie revolves around a mysterious virus that leads to a building lockdown, with infected individuals evolving in unpredictable ways, posing a threat to the survivors.

'Gunchae' is already generating buzz as it marks the latest project from Yeon Sang-ho, known for his unique storytelling in films like 'Train to Busan' (부산행), 'Peninsula' (반도), the series 'Hellbound' (지옥), and 'Parasyte: The Gray' (기생수: 더 그레이). The film has attracted attention not only for its intriguing premise but also for its impressive cast, which includes Jeon Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-bin, Kim Shin-rok, and a special appearance by Go Soo, all of whom have garnered a global fanbase.

Notably, Jeon Ji-hyun, Ji Chang-wook, and Go Soo will be making their debut in the 'Yeoniverse' (연니버스), a term used to describe the interconnected universe of Yeon Sang-ho's works, which has captivated film enthusiasts.

Jeon Ji-hyun, a prominent figure in the Korean film industry, returns to the big screen after nearly a decade since her last film 'Assassination' (암살). Her collaboration with Yeon Sang-ho is highly anticipated, promising a remarkable cinematic experience. Ji Chang-wook, known for his versatile acting across various genres, will also be teaming up with Yeon Sang-ho for the first time, hinting at a transformative role.
