Jennie Sets New Records on Billboard Charts with 'Ruby'

Jennie (제니), a member of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, has achieved remarkable success on the Billboard charts with her debut solo album, 'Ruby' (루비). According to the latest Billboard chart released on March 22, 2025, 'Ruby' debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200, while the title track 'like JENNIE' (라이크 제니) entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 83.
In addition, Jennie's collaboration track 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)' reached number 80 on the Hot 100, and 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii)' re-entered the chart at number 99. This milestone makes Jennie the first K-pop female solo artist to have three songs chart simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. Overall, five tracks from 'Ruby'—including 'like JENNIE', 'Mantra', 'Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)', 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii)', and 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)'—have made it onto the Hot 100, setting a record for the most entries by a K-pop female solo artist, with a total of six songs when including her collaboration 'One Of The Girls' with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
Furthermore, Jennie’s title track 'like JENNIE' secured the 3rd position on the Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) chart and 5th on the Global 200 chart, showcasing her dominant presence across various music charts and solidifying her global status.
With 'Ruby', Jennie has shattered previous records, achieving the highest first-week sales for a K-pop female solo artist this year with 661,130 copies sold. She also made history by debuting at number 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart, marking the highest record for a K-pop female solo artist.
