I am also discussing options with my agent regarding European leagues, but I was satisfied with my experience in the U.S. last season. Starting in 2026, another professional league will launch in the U.S., which means more choices for players." 

When asked about a potential return to the Korean V-League, she expressed, "It's hard to give a definitive answer right now, but I honestly have a desire to play again. However, I don't think it's appropriate to say whether I want to play in the V-League or not at this moment." 

As for why she and her sister watched the game separately, she explained, "I didn't know she was coming because we didn't coordinate, and I only found out when I arrived at the gym." 

Lee Da-young made her professional debut after being selected as the second overall pick in the first round of the 2014-2015 Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) women's draft by Hyundai Engineering & Construction. After becoming a free agent following the 2019-2020 season, she transferred to Heungkuk Life Insurance, where she played alongside her sister. 

However, in February 2021, Lee Da-young faced allegations of involvement in past school bullying, leading to an indefinite suspension from Heungkuk Life Insurance and the national team. After losing her place in the domestic league, she joined PAOK Thessaloniki in the Greek A1 league for the 2021-2022 season, establishing herself as a starting setter. She later played for Rapid București in Romania and Volero Le Cannet in France before signing with the San Diego Mojos last year.

The Daejeon Yuseong Police have confirmed that they conducted a third search related to allegations of corporate card misuse by Lee Jin-sook, the Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission (방송통신위원회), during her tenure as president of Daejeon MBC. The police are investigating claims that she used the corporate card for personal expenses at various locations. 

Lee, who served as president of Daejeon MBC from March 2015 to January 2018, is suspected of causing financial harm to the company through unauthorized personal use of the corporate card. In late July of last year, members of the Democratic Party, part of the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, visited Daejeon MBC for an on-site verification of the 'corporate card allegations' and subsequently reported Lee to the police. 

Civic groups, including the National Union of Media Workers and the Citizens' Coalition for Democratic Media, have claimed that Lee spent approximately 142.79 million KRW on the corporate card, frequently using it at high-end hotels and restaurants on weekends and holidays, indicating personal use. They filed a complaint against her for corporate card misuse on July 31 of last year. 

In January, four months after the complaint, police executed searches at Daejeon MBC and the administrative office of the Graduate School of Media at Sogang University, where Lee was enrolled during her presidency at Daejeon MBC. Reports suggest that the police found records of her using the corporate card at a bakery near the university. 

In response to the allegations during her confirmation hearing last year, Lee denied any wrongdoing, stating that she used the card within the set limits and in accordance with internal regulations, with detailed documentation handled by staff. A representative from the Yuseong Police stated that they are continuing to investigate whether the corporate card was used for personal purposes at the previously mentioned locations, but could not disclose further details as the investigation is ongoing.

On June 8, Kim Yong-tae, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party (국민의힘), stated that preparations are underway to hold a party convention by early September. During a press conference at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, he emphasized the importance of conducting the upcoming local elections under an elected party leadership rather than the current emergency committee structure, which he sees as crucial for the revival of conservatism and success in the elections. Kim further indicated that if the nullification process is successful, any public hostility or distortion of facts regarding impeachment discussions over the next three years will be treated as unacceptable behavior.

He expressed that while differing views on impeachment will be tolerated, any party officials, including elected representatives, who support the previous state of emergency will face disciplinary action from the ethics committee.
