Jang Yoon-jung Opens Up About Losing Her Manager and Junior Artist

On June 13, singer Jang Yoon-jung shared her emotional journey of losing two significant people in her life within just two months during an episode of the YouTube channel 'Dojang TV'.

During her visit to her favorite restaurant for a daytime drink, Jang revealed that her manager had confessed to experiencing separation anxiety. She mentioned, "I've had my stylist for over ten years and my dancer for more than twenty. Once I start working with someone, I tend to keep them for a long time." She added, "My current manager has been with me for two years and is feeling separation anxiety."

Jang recounted a heartbreaking incident where a beloved junior artist, who was also her manager's client, suddenly passed away. To cope with the loss, they planned a trip together, but tragically, on the day they returned, her manager died in an accident. This revelation shocked those around her.

Reflecting on the past two months, Jang stated, "I lost my manager, and my manager lost a singer. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for them to see me having lost two people."

She continued, "It’s already been two years. I was in such a dark place that I couldn’t even smile at home, even with my children around. I told my manager that since I lost a manager and they lost a singer, we should support each other. However, my manager said they couldn’t bear to watch the stage anymore."

Jang expressed her struggle to adjust to having a different manager and shared how they eventually began working together again after her manager felt ready to return.

She noted, "On our days off, we both feel anxious. In a way, we share this pain. I have a family, but my manager is alone, so if they take a break for two or three days, they reach out to me first. It’s a form of separation anxiety. That’s why I try to meet them more often."

Jang also acknowledged that her husband might feel neglected, wishing she would pay more attention to him. She concluded by expressing the unique sorrow they share, which is difficult to explain to others.
