Jang Nara Wins Grand Prize at 2024 SBS Drama Awards for 'Good Partner'

Jang Nara, who had previously considered leaving her drama, ultimately triumphed by winning the Grand Prize at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards for her role in 'Good Partner'. The ceremony took place on December 21 at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon (Bona). Jang Nara's performance as Cha Eun-kyung, a seasoned divorce lawyer, captivated audiences and secured high ratings for the show, which concluded in September.

Upon receiving the award, Jang expressed her disbelief, stating, "I can't believe it, and I don't know what to say. I feel like I've experienced so many amazing things at SBS. I'm truly grateful." She thanked her fellow cast members, including Nam Ji-hyun, and the production team for their support.

Jang had previously shared her struggles with the role during an appearance on Cha Jung-an's YouTube channel, revealing that while she found the character intriguing, she felt her performance was stagnating at times.

In a personal touch, Jang mentioned her husband, a cinematographer, recalling a moment when she asked him if she should stop filming, to which he replied it would be sad. This support from her husband helped her overcome her doubts.

In her acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to her family, including her parents and in-laws, and shared her love for her husband, Jeong Ha-cheol. After the ceremony, she posted a heartfelt message on social media, thanking everyone who supported her and her team for their hard work, which led to this significant recognition.
