Jang Nara Wins First Acting Award After 23 Years in 'Good Partner'

On December 21, 2024, at the SBS Prism Tower in Mapo, Seoul, actress Jang Nara received her first acting award after 23 years in the industry during the '2024 SBS Acting Awards'. The prestigious trophy was awarded for her role in the hit drama 'Good Partner', which garnered high ratings and significant buzz.

Taking the stage, Jang Nara expressed her disbelief, stating, "I can't believe this; I don't know what to say. It feels like I've experienced so many amazing things in my life through SBS. Thank you so much." She continued, "As the title 'Good Partner' suggests, I have met wonderful partners who have allowed me to achieve this. I am truly grateful to writer Choi Yoo-na, director Kim Ga-ram, and all the staff who supported me in my performance, including (Kim) Joon-han, (Pyo) Ji-hoon, (Han) Jae-i, (Ji) Seung-hyun, and the late Yuna."

She also acknowledged her co-star Nam Ji-hyun, saying, "Having Nam Ji-hyun, who was a pillar for our drama and for me, allowed me to accomplish so much. She was a blessing for both me and our drama. I am very thankful."

Jang Nara expressed her gratitude towards her friends, family, and husband, cinematographer Jung Ha-cheol, saying, "My friends have raised me, and I owe them so much. I am grateful to my mother, my father who was my role model, my brother and sister-in-law who have guided me, and my beloved in-laws. Thank you all. And to my husband, who loves me no matter what, I love you."

In her closing remarks, she thanked the viewers, saying, "Thank you to the audience, whether you view me positively or negatively. I will continue to work hard and strive to be an intriguing actress. I truly appreciate it."

Jang Nara's brother, Jang Seong-won, shared his pride in her achievement, stating, "Knowing the mindset you had while working for 23 years makes me proud and a bit heartbroken.
