Jang Nara Cheers for Her Cinematographer Husband at the 2024 SBS Acting Awards

On December 21, the 2024 SBS Acting Awards took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon (Bona). Among the nominees for the prestigious Grand Prize were Ahn Bo-hyun from 'Reborn Rich' (재벌X형사), Hwang Jung-eum from 'Seven's Resurrection' (7인의 부활), Ji Sung from 'Connection' (커넥션), Jang Nara from 'Good Partner' (굿파트너), Park Shin-hye from 'The Judge from Hell' (지옥에서 온 판사), and Kim Nam-gil from 'Hot Blooded Priest 2' (열혈사제2).
During the event, Park Shin-hye humorously noted her extensive work with SBS, mentioning that even a VCR omitted her work 'Tree of Heaven' (천국의 나무), further solidifying her status as 'SBS's daughter.' She reflected on how people say she hasn't aged, jokingly responding to MC Shin Dong-yup's comment about her unchanged appearance by recalling that she won the Best New Actress award at the SBS Acting Awards 21 years ago.
When asked if she felt deserving of the Grand Prize this year, Park Shin-hye humbly stated that it was an honor just to be nominated alongside such esteemed colleagues. Shin Dong-yup teased that those who declare they won't accept awards this year would be disqualified, to which Park Shin-hye replied that she would graciously accept if awarded, playfully suggesting that she might need to pass the title of 'SBS's daughter' to Kim Hye-yoon next year.
Shin Dong-yup then turned to Jang Nara, who had previously stated in an interview that she had no desire for the Grand Prize. He asked if her feelings had changed, to which Jang Nara humorously admitted that she had just decided to change her mind. She added that while Park Shin-hye grew up with SBS, her own unique claim to fame was that she got married while working on an SBS drama.
Jang Nara married her husband, a cinematographer six years her junior, after they met during a script reading for the SBS drama 'VIP' in 2022.
