Jaejoong and Junsu Ignite Excitement at 20th Anniversary Concert in Japan

Kim Jaejoong (김재중) and Kim Junsu (김준수) set the stage ablaze during their two-day concert, 'JX 2024 Concert Identity in Japan (아이덴티티)', held on December 14 and 15 at the Saitama Super Arena, drawing an audience of approximately 50,000 fans. This concert marked a significant celebration of their 20-year career, showcasing their unique presence in the K-pop industry.
Following a successful three-show run in Korea in November that sold out perfectly, JX continued to captivate audiences in Japan, a country pivotal to the Hallyu wave. The duo, known as K-pop legends, delivered a powerful performance that included mega-hits like 'Rising Sun' (라이징 선) and 'O-正.反.合.' (오정반합) during their electrifying opening.
The concert featured a mix of dynamic performances and heartfelt ballads, reflecting both their shared journey and individual paths as solo artists. Junsu performed songs such as 'Tarantallegra' (타란탈레그라), 'Flower' (꽃), and 'ROCK THE WORLD' (락 더 월드), while Jaejoong showcased his solo tracks including 'Devotion' (디보션), 'Summer J' (섬머 제이), and 'Glorious Day' (글로리어스 데이).
They also sang songs released in Japan, engaging the audience who sang along enthusiastically. The emotional atmosphere peaked during the encore, where fans created a touching scene by singing together.
As part of the encore, JX performed their debut song and a bright track, making the moment even more memorable by connecting with fans until the very end. On the final day of the concert, Jaejoong surprised Junsu with a birthday celebration on stage, adding a special touch to the event. They also held an impromptu giveaway of their stage outfits, including name tags, ties, handkerchiefs, and jackets, further enhancing the heartfelt connection with their fans.
Despite the concert concluding, the audience's chants for an encore brought JX back on stage for a proper farewell, easing the bittersweet feeling of the last performance. This concert not only celebrated their 20 years in the industry but also created lasting memories for both the artists and their fans, reflecting on their past while looking forward to a future as JX. With fans from Korea, Japan, and around the world in attendance, the concert reaffirmed their status as global stars.
Looking ahead, Jaejoong is set to release his single 'SEQUENCE #4' on December 26, while Junsu will continue to engage with audiences through the musical 'Aladdin', running until June next year, ensuring both artists remain active in the entertainment scene.
