IVE's Jang Wonyoung to Host Year-End Music Festival for Third Consecutive Year

Jang Wonyoung of the group IVE (아이브) will serve as the MC for the year-end music festival for the third consecutive year. According to music industry insiders on November 27, Wonyoung has been selected to host the '2024 Music Bank Global Festival' (2024 뮤직뱅크 글로벌 페스티벌) taking place in South Korea.
The 'Music Bank Global Festival' is an expanded version of KBS's year-end festival, the 'Gayo Daechukje' (가요대축제), aimed at a global audience. KBS explained that this initiative would showcase the excellence and influence of Korean culture while providing a richer K-POP experience for domestic fans.
This year's festival is set to take place in both Japan and South Korea. The event will first be held on December 14 and 15 at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, where fans will have the opportunity to see performances from various artists including TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더), ATEEZ (에이티즈), STAYC (스테이씨), NMIXX (엔믹스), NewJeans (뉴진스), PSYCHER (싸이커), RISE (라이즈), Stray Kids (스트레이키즈), ITZY (있지), LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌), TOURUS (투어스), NCT WISH, ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원), and HIGHKEY (하이키).
In South Korea, the festival is expected to take place on December 20, with Jang Wonyoung confirmed as the MC. She previously hosted 'Music Bank' from October 8, 2021, to January 13, 2023, demonstrating her ability to lead the show smoothly. Wonyoung's role as MC for the 'Gayo Daechukje' in 2022, the '2023 Music Bank Global Festival', and now the '2024 Music Bank Global Festival' marks her third consecutive year hosting the year-end celebrations.
Additionally, IVE recently achieved significant recognition at the '2024 MAMA' Chapter 1 held on November 22 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, where they won three awards including 'CJ Global Performance', 'Fans' Choice of the Year', and 'Favorite Global Performer Female'.
