K-pop sensation IVE has officially launched their Japan fan concert tour, 'IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN, with performances in Nagoya at the Aichi Sky Expo on April 12 and 13. The concert, held in the hometown of member Rei, drew significant excitement from local fans as the group performed a total of four shows over two days, each featuring two performances.
The concert opened with powerful renditions of 'REBEL HEART' and 'I AM,' showcasing the members' stunning visuals in their uniforms and their impressive live vocals and choreography, instantly captivating the audience.
After the initial performances, IVE greeted their fans, known as DIVE, in Japanese, sharing updates and personal anecdotes to create a closer connection. They also performed their Japanese debut track, 'ELEVEN -Japanese ver.-,' which moved many in attendance.
A special unit stage was a highlight of the concert, featuring unique performances that fans could only see at this event. An Yujin, Gaeul, and Rei performed the Japanese version of Orange Caramel's 'Magic Girl,' while Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo delivered a rendition of Dua Lipa's 'Levitating,' both receiving enthusiastic applause. The 'Magic Girl' stage showcased the members' adorable antics as they competed for a magic wand, while the 'Levitating' performance highlighted their chic visuals in suits. The excitement peaked with the debut performance of their new song 'TKO' in Japan.
As part of the fan concert experience, IVE engaged in a segment called 'DIVE MISSION: Move it, Do it!' where they completed various fun challenges, including trending local challenges and nostalgic ones from the past, bringing joy to the audience. After completing all the missions, the members took a group photo holding 'minibloom' bouquets to commemorate the moment.
During the first and third shows, IVE performed 'CRUSH,' the title track from their second Japanese album, while the second and fourth shows featured 'WAVE,' the title track from their first Japanese album. Both songs had previously topped local charts, prompting fans to cheer loudly and sing along.
Additionally, IVE captivated the audience with a medley of their mega-hits, including 'Kitsch,' 'LOVE DIVE,' and 'After LIKE,' before concluding the main concert with their latest title track, 'ATTITUDE.'
As IVE wrapped up their performance, fans erupted in encore requests. In response, the members surprised the audience by returning to sing 'THANK U' and personally handed out signed balls as a token of appreciation. They also performed 'NOT YOUR GIRL' as an encore, maintaining eye contact with fans and delivering a heartfelt performance until the very end.
Rei expressed her joy and gratitude through her agency, Starship Entertainment, stating, "I am so happy and moved to hold a fan concert in my hometown of Nagoya. This has been a long-cherished dream, and I will remember this moment for a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who shared this precious memory with us." She added, "I always strive to do my best, but this concert has motivated me to work even harder. I will give my all in the upcoming shows in Fukuoka, Kobe, and Yokohama. DIVE, I really love you!"
