IVE Dominates with 'REBEL HEART' on Inkigayo, Achieving Four Wins

IVE has made a remarkable impact on the music scene by clinching the top spot on SBS's Inkigayo with their hit song 'REBEL HEART', marking their fourth win. During the broadcast on January 26, IVE's member Lee Seo, who serves as an MC for the show, expressed her gratitude, stating, "I am so thankful to be able to give my sisters, IVE, their first win on Inkigayo. Thank you to everyone at Inkigayo and Starship."

Member Rei also shared her joy, saying, "I’m so happy to receive the first place from our youngest, Lee Seo. I hope all our fans, DIVE, and everyone here had a wonderful Lunar New Year. Wishing you all a prosperous new year!"

The episode kicked off with CATCH THE YOUNG performing their reimagined version of the hit song 'NUN EONNA' by the band Mono. Their rendition infused 90s synth and new wave vibes, creating a refreshing sound that warmed the winter atmosphere.

New JYP rookie group KickFlip made their debut on the show, expressing their aspirations despite their mothers' nagging about studying. Their title track 'Mama Said (뭐가 되려고?)' showcases their bold spirit, with lyrics that challenge conventional adult advice. KickFlip performed both 'Umm Great' and 'Mama Said', radiating youthful energy with catchy rhythms and humorous lyrics.

CIX showcased contrasting styles with their tracks 'My Everlasting Sun' and 'THUNDER'. The title track 'THUNDER' is an electro-pop song characterized by CIX's unique rhythm and powerful dance breaks, drawing parallels between love and natural phenomena like thunder and lightning.

&TEAM performed 'Deer Hunter' and the Korean version of 'Yukiakari' from their recently released second album. They described 'Yukiakari' as a song that embodies the ambition to start anew in the waning winter season, featuring an emotional guitar riff that transitions into a dynamic melody filled with hope.

Minnie from (G)I-DLE made her solo debut after seven years, performing her album 'HER'. She expressed her excitement, hoping fans enjoy the album during the Lunar New Year. 'HER' features lyrics that reflect her personal journey and growth as an artist, showcasing her vibrant musicality.

GOT7 returned as a full group after three years with their performance of 'PYTHON', a track that blends hip-hop beats with pop melodies. BamBam, who contributed to the song, shared his feelings about the pressure of creating new music but expressed happiness over the positive reception.

The episode also featured performances from other artists including Minnie, Park Ji Hyun, BBGIRLS, CIX, IVE, &TEAM, NCT WISH, ONEUS, Lee Gyu Ra, CATCH THE YOUNG, and KickFlip.
