IU Wins Big at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards

On July 19, 2025, IU (아이유) celebrated a remarkable achievement by winning two awards at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards. She took to her personal social media to express her gratitude, stating, "Thanks to my beloved UAENA, I won the Popular Star Award and the Best Actress Award for 'My Name is Ahn Eun-soo'! This precious moment, made possible by UAENA's warm support and love, means the world to me!"
The awards ceremony, held the previous day, saw IU triumph in the Best Actress category for her role in the Netflix series 'My Name is Ahn Eun-soo' (폭싹 속았수다). She outperformed notable nominees including Park Eun-bin from 'Hyperknife' (하이퍼나이프), Seo Hyun-jin from 'Trunk' (트렁크), Lee Hye-ri from 'The Good Fight' (선의의 경쟁), and Cha Joo-young from 'Wongyeong' (원경).
Upon receiving her award, IU introduced herself as "the actress who played Ahn Eun-soo and Kim Myung-hee" and shared her heartfelt thoughts: "This is likely to be the greatest pride of my life. It was such an honor to be part of this project, and I am so grateful. I dedicate this to all the Ahn Eun-soo and Kim Myung-hee fans out there."
'My Name is Ahn Eun-soo' has captivated audiences not only in South Korea but across Asia since its release. Written by Lim Sang-chun, the series tells the story of Ahn Eun-soo (played by IU), a rebellious young woman from Jeju Island, and Yang Kwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum), as they navigate the seasons of their lives together.
