IU Praises Park Bo-gum's Character on Salon Drip 2

On March 11, 2025, singer and actress IU made a guest appearance on the web entertainment show Salon Drip 2, where she expressed her admiration for her co-star Park Bo-gum from the Netflix series 'You Have Been Cheated' (폭싹 속았수다). During the episode, hosted by comedian Jang Do-yeon, IU shared updates about her life and discussed her latest project.

Salon Drip 2 has accumulated a significant following, reaching its 81st episode, and IU revealed that it was a show she had always wanted to be a part of. She mentioned enjoying the episode featuring Park Bo-gum, saying, "I found it really entertaining."

Describing her character Aesoon, IU noted that she is someone who appears aloof but is actually quite sensitive and straightforward. "If Aesoon were real, I think we would have become great friends. She can't stand injustice and is very decisive. I admire people who work hard; you can't do a good job without considering others," she explained.

IU particularly praised Park Bo-gum, stating, "He embodies the qualities of being kind and hardworking. If someone worked with him and didn't like him, that person must be strange." Jang Do-yeon agreed, questioning how anyone could find fault with him.

She further elaborated on Park Bo-gum's impressive stamina, saying, "His kindness is rooted in his physical strength. No matter how tough things got, even when I was frustrated and asked him if he was okay, he would respond, 'I'm fine, Ji-eun. Thank you for worrying about me.'"

IU recounted a challenging scene that required multiple takes, where she felt exhausted. Despite her struggles, she noticed Park Bo-gum whispering to the director, apologizing for not performing better. "Seeing that made me question why I couldn't be like him," she admitted.

Jang Do-yeon jokingly suggested that Park Bo-gum might have thought, 'Ji-eun, you’ll talk about this on air, right?' IU laughed, saying, "If it were another friend, I might take it as a joke, but not with Park Bo-gum. Didn't I end up crying here too?"
