IU Donates 200 Million Won to Support Fire Victims and Firefighters

On March 26, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that singer and actress IU (아이유) has made a generous donation of 200 million won, contributing 100 million won each to support victims of recent wildfires and to improve the treatment and perception of firefighters working in disaster areas. IU expressed her hope that her contribution would provide some relief to those affected and extended her condolences to the victims. She also emphasized her sincere wish for the swift extinguishing of the wildfires without further loss of life, thanking the firefighters for their dedication. This is not the first time IU has stepped up during times of crisis; she has previously donated to flood relief efforts in 2020 and supported wildfire recovery in 2022. To date, her total charitable contributions have reached an impressive 6 billion won. Meanwhile, IU is currently captivating global audiences with her role in the Netflix series '폭싹 속았수다' (My Name is IU).
