ITZY's Yeji Makes Solo Debut with 'AIR'

On March 10, 2025, Yeji from the popular girl group ITZY held a press conference at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul in Songpa, where she celebrated the release of her debut solo album titled 'AIR'. During the event, she expressed gratitude for the support from her fellow members, stating, "They told me to be called 'senpai' and have been very encouraging, which gives me a sense of pride knowing I have my members behind me."
Yeji is the first member of ITZY to embark on a solo career, having previously showcased her solo potential with the track 'Crown on My Head' from the group's album 'BORN TO BE' last year. Her new album features four solo tracks, highlighting her growth as an artist.
Reflecting on her journey, Yeji shared, "It was my first time preparing alone, and it felt lonely without someone to share the struggles with. However, my members visited the music video set and even sent a coffee truck, which made me realize how supported I am. It gave me strength and a sense of pride that I have my members with me."
Looking ahead, she humorously mentioned that when her fellow members debut as solo artists, she expects them to call her 'senpai' as well. "I hope I can be of help to them, and I believe they will do great," she added.
Yeji's solo debut album 'AIR' is set to be released at 6 PM KST today.
