Investigation Launched into Allegations of Sexual Harassment by Sports Association President in Gangwon

An investigation has been initiated by the Sports Ethics Center following allegations that a sports association president in Gangwon Province engaged in sexual harassment and directed personal tasks to an employee. According to reports on March 10, the president, referred to as A, allegedly made inappropriate comments about employee B's appearance during a meal with associates at a restaurant in July of last year. It is reported that A commented, 'Look at her chest; she must be a D-cup,' which B claims caused significant distress, leading to a medical diagnosis requiring over three months of treatment. Furthermore, B alleges that during the National Sports Festival in Ulsan in October 2022, A instructed B to drive him to Wonju, Gangwon Province, under the pretext of needing to 'check the land.' The allegations came to light when B filed a report with the Sports Ethics Center in January. In response, A stated that the comments were meant as friendly banter among men and denied any intent of harassment, also contesting the claims regarding the personal task.
