Investigation Launched After Inappropriate Conduct by Teachers in Daegu Elementary School

An investigation has been initiated by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education following reports from parents about inappropriate behavior between male and female teachers in a classroom at an elementary school in Daegu. The complaint was filed on May 7, around 3:30 PM, after some students witnessed the incident, which occurred after classes had ended and most students had already left for the day. In response to the allegations, the education office promptly suspended the two teachers involved and began an internal audit. Both teachers have reportedly denied any wrongdoing. The education office has stated that they are implementing monitoring and student protection measures, including replacing the homeroom teacher and providing psychological counseling for the affected students. Further disciplinary actions against the teachers will be determined based on the audit's findings. A representative from the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education commented that they are currently verifying the facts based on the complaints but noted that specific details cannot be disclosed due to privacy concerns.
