Intense Showdown in '열혈사제2' as Kim Nam-gil and Lee Ha-nee Confront Drug Cartel

In the latest episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama '열혈사제2' (The Fiery Priest 2), aired on December 20, 2024, the characters Park Kyung-sun (이하늬) and Kim Hae-il (김남길) took decisive action against a drug cartel. Previously, they found themselves in a perilous situation orchestrated by Kim Hong-sik (성준). As Kim Hae-il aimed a gun at his own head, Park Kyung-sun pleaded, "I really hate feeling uneasy for the rest of my life. Don’t do it, Kim Hae-il, please!"

Kim Hae-il responded, "The unease will fade in a few years. Thank you all for everything," before being interrupted by Gu Dae-young (김성균), who warned, "Even if you die, Kim Hong-sik will still kill the prosecutor." Despite the warnings, Kim Hae-il insisted, "Keep your promise, Kim Hong-sik," while Park Kyung-sun shouted, "No, don’t do that! If I die now, it will be considered murder, and I’ll go to heaven!"

Just as Kim Hae-il was about to pull the trigger, Kim In-kyung (백지원) and Han Sung-kyu (전성우) arrived to save them. Kim Hae-il then taunted Kim Hong-sik, who, enraged, declared, "I’m taking my money and leaving this country right now."

After escaping the crisis, Park Kyung-sun confronted Nam Du-heon, asking, "What did I do wrong to deserve two men trying to kill me? Let’s settle this once and for all." Nam Du-heon replied mockingly, "The betrayer has a lot to say. If you’re going to expose the center, do it properly. This has no impact at all."

Nam Du-heon, who had evidence against Park Kyung-sun and Kim Gye-jang, brazenly suggested, "What if I just claim it’s deepfake? I can prevent verification." Park Kyung-sun retorted, "Having such a thick face is a real skill and competitive edge."

Nam Du-heon countered, "The law is like a spider's web. Flies get caught and die, but wasps tear through the web and escape. That’s the durability of the law. I’m a long-lived wasp among them." Park Kyung-sun warned, "I’ll create a spider's web that even the wasp can’t escape. It’s coming soon."

Meanwhile, Gu Ja-young (김형서) was promoted to head of the drug team, and the previously sidelined Bingsang-woo (오희준) successfully returned as a detective. Together with Oh Yo-han (고규필) and Song Sak (안창환), they subdued Park Dae-jang’s (양현민) gang. At the same time, Kim Hong-sik, having lost everything, attempted to flee but was captured by Interpol due to Nam Du-heon’s betrayal. Nam Du-heon warned, "You’ll get shot doing that. Now, get down!" to which Kim Hong-sik angrily replied, "When did I ever become friends with Interpol?"

As Kim Hae-il, Park Kyung-sun, and Gu Dae-young arrived, they claimed that Nam Du-heon was also in cahoots with Kim Hong-sik, but the Interpol agents insisted they only needed to capture Kim Hong-sik. In the chaos that ensued when a plane door fell off, both Kim Hong-sik and Nam Du-heon managed to escape.

Fleeing to Seoul, Nam Du-heon used the evidence he had to blackmail lawmakers and prosecutors, leading to his promotion to Deputy Chief of the Special Investigations Unit at the Central District Prosecutor's Office. Meanwhile, Kim Hong-sik, armed and accompanied by his subordinates, also headed to Seoul.

Kim Hae-il, Park Kyung-sun, Gu Dae-young, Kim In-kyung, Han Sung-kyu, Oh Yo-han, and Song Sak returned to Seoul as well. Notably, Kim Hae-il and Park Kyung-sun filed a complaint revealing Nam Du-heon’s corruption, stating to the cameras, "The truth will always come to light." The news of Nam Du-heon’s Honey Pot Gate became a hot topic, leading to a public hearing.
