Insooni Expresses Pride in 'Golden Girls' Season 2 and Upcoming Dinner Show

On December 17, singer Insooni appeared as a guest on KBS Radio's CoolFM program 'Lee Eun-ji's Music Plaza' (가요광장), where she shared her pride in the second season of 'Golden Girls' and her upcoming dinner show. During the segment 'Who Are You?' DJ Lee Eun-ji opened the conversation by expressing her enjoyment of 'Golden Girls.' Insooni responded, 'I also find it entertaining whenever I catch it. We received the Rookie Award at the 'Entertainment Awards'—can you believe it? After 47 years since my debut, I finally got a Rookie Award that I never received in my youth.' She expressed her heartfelt emotions about this recognition.

Lee Eun-ji reassured her, saying, 'You don’t need to feel discouraged if you didn’t receive a Rookie Award now; there are many new artists.' Insooni agreed, stating, 'That's right. We can challenge ourselves in different genres. Life is not just one path.'

When asked about her thoughts on Lee Eun-ji's rendition of 'The Dream of a Goose,' which was adapted for an advertisement, Insooni remarked, 'Honestly, I would feel pressured to sing 'The Dream of a Goose' at this hour because of the high notes. But it sounded great! The courage was commendable, and I would give it a score of 105.'

Shifting the topic to her dinner show, Insooni shared, 'This morning, I practiced my dance while working out. I have to remember the order of the performance; that’s our biggest challenge. I really worked hard to not forget during 'Golden Girls.' If I practice at 130%, I can perform at 80-90% on stage, so I need to practice at that level.'

She elaborated on the dinner show format, saying, 'It lasts just over two hours. The first session focuses on showcasing, followed by various songs I've sung, and then I’ll perform some old pop songs to evoke memories. After eating, we need to digest, so we’ll get up and have some fun. I’ll take care of everything from the meal to the digestion!'

Regarding the potential return of 'Golden Girls,' Insooni commented, 'It depends on Jin-young's heart. If he is motivated, there could be a Season 2. But if he’s busy and not interested, it won’t happen.' When Lee Eun-ji suggested contacting Park Jin-young, Insooni humorously called out, 'Jin-young, what are you doing? What are you thinking? You need to wake up and realize it’s time to think about 'Golden Girls.' Wake up, Park Jin-young!'

In addition to her lively conversation, Insooni also captivated listeners with a live performance of her song 'Happiness.' Her dinner show is scheduled for December 30 and 31 at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.
