Inside the Culinary Philosophy of JYP's Park Jin-young in 'Crazy Rich Koreans'

On July 20, 2025, KBS2's 'Crazy Rich Koreans' showcased the unique lives of the successful operators of a popular Korean diner in the heart of New York City. The episode featured CEO Yoon Jun-woo, who resembles actor Ha Jung-woo, and Vice President Choi Jae-woo, who bears a likeness to singer Lee Mu-jin, along with their MZ generation partners.
Yoon Jun-woo, 35, shared that his journey into the restaurant industry began when he worked as a server at a restaurant opened by JYP's Park Jin-young in the U.S. After two years, he was promoted to manager and has been dedicated to the food business ever since. Reflecting on his time with Park Jin-young, Yoon noted, "He never allowed MSG in the dishes. He was a meticulous and thorough boss."
Regarding the opening of their diner, Yoon recalled his immigration to the U.S. at the age of 10 and the fond memories of visiting traditional Korean diners with his father. He expressed a desire to preserve the warm atmosphere of these establishments, which he feels are disappearing. Yoon hopes that by succeeding in New York, they can inspire future generations to continue this culinary tradition.
