Injured by Lee Hyun-wook, Lee Si-ah Faces Future Challenges in 'Wongyeong'

In the latest episode of tvN's drama Wongyeong (원경), aired on January 20, 2025, a shocking turn of events unfolded as Lee Si-ah's character, Yeong-sil, was stabbed by Lee Hyun-wook's character, Lee Bang-won. In a dramatic scene, Lee Bang-won drew his sword while in the arms of Won-gyeong (played by Cha Joo-young), stating, "This is the only way I can save you. You won't die, but you will live as if you are dead," before wounding Yeong-sil. After leaving a devastated Won-gyeong behind, he remarked, "To me, she is already a dead woman," as he wiped the blood from his hands.
Fortunately, Yeong-sil survived the attack, but a doctor's diagnosis revealed that she would likely be unable to conceive in the future, leading her to break down in tears. Upon hearing this news, Won-gyeong confronted Yeong-sil, questioning, "Seeing you like this makes me wonder if you were worth killing with my own hands. From the beginning, you sought your existence only from one man, and this is what has happened."
In response, Yeong-sil shouted, "How can a concubine who cannot bear children be saved?" To which Won-gyeong warned, "The only one who can save you is yourself. Do not forget that."
