Imujin's Team Responds to Mistreatment at K-Culture Expo, Organizers Apologize

On June 5, the organizers of the 2025 천안 K-컬처박람회 (2025 Cheonan K-Culture Expo) issued a public apology following an incident involving singer Imujin during a rehearsal. The organizers acknowledged the distress caused to Imujin, his fans, and attendees, stating, "We deeply apologize for the unfortunate events that occurred during the expo. We understand that no words can fully heal the hurt caused to Imujin and his fans."
A representative from the organizing committee, which includes the city of Cheonan, emphasized their recognition of the seriousness of the situation. They confirmed that the staff involved had issued an apology, and the city has taken steps to address the issue, including a strong warning and internal training for the event management company. The staff member responsible for the incident has been removed from their position.
During the rehearsal on June 4, Imujin was abruptly interrupted by a staff member who used informal language, saying, "Stop it. What are you doing?" The staff member insisted that they needed to prepare for the next act, causing confusion among fans who recorded the incident and shared it on social media.
In response to the backlash, the organizers posted on social media that the staff member had apologized to Imujin and his team, and they would implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future. However, Imujin's team expressed their disappointment over the inappropriate behavior and disrespect shown by the staff during the rehearsal. They stated, "We will take a firm stance in protecting our artist and will ensure that all necessary actions are taken to prevent a recurrence of this situation."
The organizers reiterated their sincere apologies to Imujin, his fans, and all attendees of the event, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.
