Im Young-woong's Fan Club Donates 6 Million Won to Childhood Cancer Foundation

The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (한국백혈병어린이재단), led by Chairperson Shin Hee-young, has announced a generous donation of 6 million won from the fan club 'Hero Era Gwangju-Jeonnam' of singer Im Young-woong. This contribution was made by 112 fans in celebration of Im Young-woong's recital and will be used to support the medical expenses of children diagnosed with childhood cancer and rare diseases, as well as the Nibber campaign.

Since 2020, the 'Hero Era Gwangju-Jeonnam' fan club has actively participated in supporting children with cancer, inspired by Im Young-woong's positive influence. With this latest donation, their total contributions have reached 68.2 million won.

In addition to financial support, the fan club engages in various hands-on activities, including the Hickman Pocket Campaign, the My Friend Nibber Doll Campaign, and the Warm Mask Campaign, demonstrating their commitment to giving back.

A representative from the 'Hero Era Gwangju-Jeonnam' fan club expressed, "We wanted to carry on Im Young-woong's spirit of joy and sharing. We will continue to work together with fans to spread the joy of giving."

Seon-won Seo, Secretary-General of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from 'Hero Era Gwangju-Jeonnam' and hopes that this donation will inspire more fan clubs to join in supporting children with cancer.

Meanwhile, Im Young-woong is set to meet fans during his solo concert 'Im Young-woong Recital' at Gocheok Sky Dome over six days during the year-end and New Year period. However, he recently stirred controversy with his comments regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol's emergency martial law situation, questioning, "What? Am I a politician? Why should I speak out?"
