ILLIT Wins Best New Artist at iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025

The K-pop group ILLIT (윤아, 민주, 모카, 원희, 이로하) has made a significant mark on the global music scene by winning their first award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025, held in Los Angeles on March 17, 2025. They took home the Best New Artist (K-Pop) award, showcasing their rising popularity in the mainstream pop market just a year after their debut.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards, organized by the American online radio service iHeartRadio since 2014, honors the most played artists and songs on its platform throughout the year. ILLIT's win at this prestigious event highlights their impressive status and influence in the industry.

Debuting in March 2024, ILLIT quickly captured global attention with their first single, "Magnetic," which made history by entering the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart, setting records for the fastest entry by a K-pop debut song. The track has enjoyed sustained popularity, dominating various international year-end charts and solidifying its status as a global hit. Additionally, both their debut album "SUPER REAL ME" and their second mini-album "I'LL LIKE YOU" reached the Billboard 200, making ILLIT the only K-pop artist who debuted in 2024 to achieve this feat with two albums.

Building on these accomplishments, ILLIT has swept several major music awards both domestically and internationally. To date, they have won a total of 13 trophies, including seven for Best New Artist, across various award shows in Korea, the United States, and Japan. They have also been nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) and the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), establishing themselves as a leading force among the fifth generation of K-pop girl groups.

Recently, ILLIT released the theme song "Almond Chocolate" for the film "I Don't Like You Just for Your Face," which has gained popularity in both Korea and Japan. The song has performed well on local charts and has contributed to the film's success. A special stage performance of the Korean version, driven by fan support, has also received positive feedback.
