‘I Live Alone’ Tops Ratings for the Second Week of January 2025

The popular MBC variety show ‘I Live Alone’ (나 혼자 산다) has demonstrated its competitive edge by securing the top spot in the 2049 ratings for the second week of January 2025. The episode aired on January 10, featuring Key (키) accompanying his mother on her last commute before retirement, alongside actress Jo Ah-ram (조아람) showcasing her impressive daily life.
According to Nielsen Korea, ‘I Live Alone’ achieved a 4.0% rating in the 2049 demographic, making it the highest-rated program for the week of January 6 to January 12. The household rating stood at 7.6% in the metropolitan area, also ranking first in its time slot and among Friday variety shows.
A standout moment from the episode was when Key prepared ‘crab soy sauce stew’ (게 간장조림), a dish his grandmother used to make for his mother, which peaked at a remarkable 9.2% in viewership during that segment. Key meticulously organized a heartfelt farewell event for his mother, complete with nostalgic dishes, surprise gifts, and a sincere letter, which touched viewers and warmed hearts at home.
Additionally, the second feature of the 'Yay! Rainbow, I Can Do It Alone' special highlighted Jo Ah-ram's impressive skills, from managing her fish tank to diary decoration and preparing side dishes, captivating the audience with her creative lifestyle.
