Hyun Bin Shares Heartwarming Story About His Wife Son Ye-jin

On December 18, 2024, during the 273rd episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' themed 'Don't Forget,' actor Hyun Bin opened up about his love story with his wife, Son Ye-jin. He reminisced about their time working together on the hit drama 'Crash Landing on You' (사랑의 불시착), stating, "It was a project that gave me so much. I received a lot of love, the ratings were great, and I met my wife through it."

Hyun Bin also recalled their earlier collaboration on the film 'Negotiation' (협상), where they filmed on the same day but in different locations, only able to connect through monitors. He expressed that he thought it would be fun to work together on a brighter, romantic comedy, which eventually led to 'Crash Landing on You.'

When asked by Yoo Jae-suk who reached out first, and if they had been dating for a while, Hyun Bin replied, "It's a bit ambiguous to say when it started." He explained that their relationship developed naturally after the project ended, as they had various advertising shoots and events together.

Yoo Jae-suk mentioned that Son Ye-jin had referred to Hyun Bin as her first love on the show, to which Hyun Bin responded, "I watched the broadcast and thought, 'Oh, I see.' The video they made when my wife appeared was amazing," giving a thumbs up and eliciting laughter.

Hyun Bin also shared insights about being in the same profession as his wife, noting, "The good thing is that we can understand each other without having to explain everything. But the downside is that we know too much about each other, like thinking, 'This should be the end of it.'"
