Hyun Bin Makes His First Alcohol Broadcast Appearance After 21 Years

Actor Hyun Bin is set to make his first-ever alcohol broadcast appearance after 21 years in the entertainment industry. According to reports on December 5, 2024, he will be featured on the web variety show 'Jjanhan Hyung' (짠한형), hosted by Shin Dong-yeob.

'Jjanhan Hyung' is a talk show format where Shin Dong-yeob and co-host Jung Ho-cheol enjoy candid conversations with guests while drinking. The show premiered on August 28, 2023, and has been releasing new episodes every Monday at 6 PM. It has since expanded its content to include 'Sso-neun Hyung' (쏘는형).

The show has previously hosted a star-studded lineup of guests, including Lee Hyori, Lee Kyung-young, Kim Min-jong, Ha Ji-won, SHINee's Key, Hwasa, Hong Jin-kyung, Sunmi, SEVENTEEN's Mingyu and Dino, as well as many others.

Hyun Bin's appearance on 'Jjanhan Hyung' is particularly noteworthy as it marks his first alcohol broadcast after two decades in the industry. He debuted in 2003 with the KBS2 drama 'Bodyguard' and has since starred in numerous hit dramas such as 'Nonstop 4', 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon', 'Secret Garden', and 'Crash Landing on You', as well as films like 'Manchu', 'The Negotiation', and 'Harbin'.

In addition, Hyun Bin will be seen in the upcoming film 'Harbin', where he plays the role of Ahn Jung-geun, set to be released on December 25, 2024. The film, directed by Woo Min-ho and produced by CJ ENM and Hive Media Corp, depicts a thrilling chase and intrigue surrounding individuals heading to Harbin in 1909 for a common purpose. This collaboration between the production company behind 'The Man Standing Next' and 'Inside Men' and director Woo Min-ho is highly anticipated as one of the top films of the winter season.

Hyun Bin portrays Ahn Jung-geun, who is known for assassinating Ito Hirobumi, and this film marks his return to the big screen after nearly two years since 'The Negotiation' was released in January 2023. This project is also significant as it is his first role following his marriage to Son Ye-jin and the birth of their child.
