Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin Make Generous Donations to Hospitals for New Year

Actors Hyun Bin (현빈) and Son Ye Jin (손예진) have kicked off the new year with a heartwarming act of charity. According to VAST Entertainment, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin donated a total of 300 million won (approximately $250,000) to Asan Medical Center and Samsung Medical Center. Each hospital received 150 million won to support treatment costs for underprivileged patients in the pediatric and obstetrics departments.

In their statement, the couple expressed gratitude for the opportunity to help others, saying, "We feel a deep sense of appreciation for being able to assist someone in need, and we hope our warmth reaches those who are going through difficult times right now." They added, "Every time we see our healthy child, we can't help but feel a sense of guilt for those children who are not as fortunate. We sincerely wish that sick children can return to their innocent selves and shine brightly in the world."

Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, both born in 1982, first collaborated in the 2018 film 'Negotiation' (협상). They reunited a year later in the hit tvN drama 'Crash Landing on You' (사랑의 불시착), which garnered them a massive global fanbase. The couple confirmed their relationship in January 2021, tied the knot in March 2022, and welcomed their first son in November of the same year.

Currently, Hyun Bin is engaging with audiences through his latest film 'Harbin' (하얼빈), which premiered on December 24, while Son Ye Jin is busy filming Park Chan-wook's new movie 'Can't Help It' (어쩔수가없다).
