Hyeri Takes Legal Action Against Online Trolls

Hyeri, the former member of the girl group Girl's Day, has initiated legal proceedings against online trolls. Her agency, Sublime, announced on January 23 that they have been monitoring instances of defamation, sexual harassment, insults, and the spread of malicious falsehoods online.
The agency stated, "In October of last year, we determined that we could no longer tolerate these criminal acts and proceeded with criminal complaints against dozens of individuals based on the evidence we collected. Currently, the authorities are investigating the cases we reported."
They further emphasized, "We will continue to monitor and take legal action against any criminal activities targeting our artists. We will not seek settlements or leniency for the perpetrators under any circumstances and will respond firmly."
Hyeri's troubles began last year when news broke about her ex-boyfriend Ryu Jun-yeol dating actress Han So-hee, to which she responded with a light-hearted, "That's interesting." However, as the three became embroiled in a scandal, unverified rumors and negative comments about Hyeri circulated online. Particularly in October, absurd rumors suggested that Han So-hee was one of Hyeri's trolls, leading to an increase in online harassment directed at her.
Hyeri is set to appear in the upcoming U+ mobile TV drama 'Competition of Goodness,' which is scheduled to premiere on February 10.
