Hwang Jung-eum Reveals Her Life as a Single Mother in 'Solo라서'

Actress Hwang Jung-eum is set to share her experiences as a single mother in the upcoming season of 'Solo라서' (Solo Life). The teaser for Season 2 was recently released on E Channel's official YouTube channel, featuring Hwang Jung-eum as the main focus. Unlike Season 1, which showcased the daily lives of various solo participants, this season will delve into Hwang's personal journey as a divorced woman.

In the first teaser, Hwang Jung-eum appeared reflective as she sat for an interview, stating, "Going through a failed marriage felt like a huge disaster, and I thought my life was over. But it was a choice I made, and personally, I am very satisfied. Being single is a blessing."

In the second teaser, she introduced herself as "Hwang Jung-eum, the mother of Wang-sik and Gang-sik," and shared, "After my marriage, my energy was great, but then I became depressed and things turned negative. My children are incredibly precious, and I felt I couldn't let them sense that negativity. Therefore, I had no choice but to choose divorce."

When asked about being single, Hwang Jung-eum expressed, "From my perspective, it's the best. I feel secure because of my children and my parents."

Hwang Jung-eum was married to businessman Lee Yong-don, a former professional golfer, in 2016, and they have two sons together. After facing a divorce crisis, they entered divorce proceedings again in February of last year, leading to ongoing conflicts.

'Solo라서' is a reality show that captures the honest lives of attractive singles, exploring both the joys and loneliness of being single. The show aired from October 29 to December 17 last year, with Shin Dong-yup and Hwang Jung-eum as hosts, alongside participants like Shin Se-bin, Chae-rim, Yoon Se-ah, Sa-gang, and Oh Jung-yeon.
