Hwang Jung-eum Makes Light of Her Situation on 'Solo Because'

On the December 17 episode of SBS Plus's 'Solo Because' (솔로라서), actress Hwang Jung-eum humorously engaged in self-deprecation. During a discussion about fortune-telling with Oh Jung-yeon, Hwang revealed, "I have 'Cheon-eul-gwi-in' in my fortune," indicating a belief that she has a supportive energy around her, even in tough times. Oh expressed envy, calling it a blessed fortune. Hwang added with a laugh, "So, even big issues get resolved quietly—well, not exactly quietly," eliciting laughter from the audience.
Previously, Hwang Jung-eum and Kim Yong-jun maintained a public relationship after their time on 'We Got Married' (우리 결혼했어요) but broke up in 2015. Later that year, she confirmed her relationship with professional golfer and businessman Lee Young-don, marrying him, but they announced their divorce in February.
In the same episode, Oh Jung-yeon looked into Hwang's romantic prospects, suggesting that she would be more conscious of her charm and appearance, and that her wit and sense would attract many admirers in the near future.
'Solo Because' is a reality program that candidly observes the lives of charming singles who experience loneliness yet find happiness in their solo status, airing every Tuesday at 8:40 PM.
